She rushed over to the dragon err.. him to apologize. She approached him curled up beside the cave wall. She spoke up in a trembling voice, "I.... I.......". That was all she managed to get out. He refused to look at her still. She gathered her courage and said, "I....I didn't know.... you were a dragon." His head snapped up and he wheeled around to face her.
"How dare you!" he roared. He glared and her and spoke in a booming voice, "You didn't know I was a dragon. Is that all you have to say for yourself? Am I different now that I'm a dragon? Oh you loved me when I was a charming man, but when I'm a dragon that's all gone. I can't believe you'd treat me like this. After all I've done for you, I'm nothing but a monster. Of all people, I thought you would see beyond appearances, living in that castle with all of those handsome savage perverts. I gave every bit of love I could to you. I treated you as more than a princess, but as the wonderful lady you are and deserved to be treated. I spent all my treasure on you. All this stuff was for your comfort. I thought it was the least I could do to make you more comfortable. I warned you about me this whole time and you seemed to understand. I know how you feel about me just now. If I was that much of a monster to cause you panic and beat me like that, then I doubt you'll ever be able to love me as much as I loved you. I suppose it's impossible to love a dragon for somebody like you. You should just leave and return your life at that castle with those charming men." He curled up and looked away from her again. She was so sunned she could just stand there. He was right. She felt a tight, throbbing knot of guilt inside of her. Tears began to form in her eyes. She placed her hand on him and said, "I'm sorry, I-"
"GET OUT!" The dragon roared.
"Please, I'm sorry.." she said as tears began running down her face.
"LEAVE! RETURN TO YOUR CASTLE AND NEVER COME BACK!" he roared.
The knot of guilt was unbearable. She went to exit the cave. She turned around one last time to say goodbye, but the dragon roared, "GO!"
She left the cave and the dragon and started to walk back to her kingdom. Tears fell on the dress she wore. He had given her that dress she remembered as more tears fell upon it. She had found love but had disowned it.
Sad stuff....well I tried to make it sad. This would make a terrible ending.

Yes it is a little sad, but some of the best things dont just come out of nowhere, theres always a few bumps to smooth out before you can make something magnificent.
